Tarlac logs highest Covid-19 single day tally of 29

The Department of Health (DOH) said 29 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) were recorded in the province on Thursday, the highest single day tally since the onset of the pandemic in the province.

This brought the total number of Covid-19 cases to 355 with 206 active cases.

The Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force said out of the total new cases, 22 came from Concepcion, five from La Paz and two from the city.

It added that 28 of the 29 new cases have history of contact with positive Covid-19 patients.

The lone new case with no known history of exposure, is a 57-year-old female vendor from Sta. Rita, Concepcion, who has comorbidities, the task force said. The patient was referred to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital, it added.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries from coronavirus remained at 139 while the total number of deaths stayed at 13. (PNA)
