Unscheduled power interruption hits Ilocos provinces

 An emergency power interruption hit parts of the Ilocos region on Thursday morning. 

In an advisory, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said the power outage started at 9:46 a.m. and affected the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, and parts of La Union.

It added that the affected lines are the Bauang-Bakun 230-kilovolt (kV) line and Bauang-Bacnotan 230 kV line. 

The power supply in the affected areas was fully restored at 12:30 p.m. (PNA)
